The Epoché
Epoché is a concept from philosophy, particularly phenomenology, that involves deliberately suspending judgment about the existence or nature of external objects. It’s a mental practice of setting aside assumptions and beliefs to focus purely on how things appear to our consciousness. By doing so, one can examine experiences more objectively and gain clearer insight into consciousness itself. Think of it as temporarily putting aside your beliefs to observe your perceptions more openly and without bias, allowing for a deeper understanding of how we experience the world around us.
