The Endurance

The Endurance was a ship used in Sir Ernest Shackleton’s 1914-1917 Antarctic expedition. It was designed to withstand harsh polar conditions but became trapped in sea ice and was crushed, sinking in the Weddell Sea. Despite the ship's loss, Shackleton and his crew survived against incredible odds by improvising sledges and boats, eventually reaching safety.
