The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad recounts how Sinbad, a famed sailor, sets out once more and encounters a mysterious island inhabited by giant birds called rocs. When some of these birds carry away his companions' horses and cargo, Sinbad devises a plan to escape. He steals eggs from the rocs, which they later use to trap the giant birds by tying them with ropes, enabling Sinbad and his crew to escape.
