The Eight Intelligences
The Eight Intelligences, proposed by psychologist Howard Gardner, describe different ways people understand and interact with the world. They are: linguistic (word skills), logical-mathematical (problem-solving, numbers), musical (appreciating sound and rhythm), bodily-kinesthetic (using the body effectively), spatial (visualizing and reasoning in 3D), interpersonal (understanding others), intrapersonal (self-awareness), and naturalist (recognizing patterns in nature). These intelligences highlight that people have diverse strengths, and learning or working styles vary widely. Recognizing this helps tailor education and careers to match individual talents.
