The Eccentric

In geometry and physics, an "eccentric" refers to something that deviates from the center or normal position. For example, in an elliptical orbit, eccentricity measures how stretched out it is—closer to a circle or more elongated. A high eccentricity indicates a more elongated shape, while a low value approaches a perfect circle. The term can also apply to objects or movements that are off-center or irregular.
