The Drumset

A drumset, also called a drum kit, is a collection of percussion instruments played by a single musician to provide rhythm and foundation for music. It typically includes a bass drum (big pedal drum), snare drum (sharp-sounding drum), tom-toms (various-sized drums for fills), hi-hat cymbals (paired cymbals operated with a pedal), and other cymbals for accents. The drummer uses drumsticks and foot pedals to produce different sounds and rhythms, helping shape the tempo and energy of the music across genres like rock, jazz, and pop.
