The Donabedian Model
The Donabedian Model is a way to evaluate healthcare quality by examining three key elements: Structure, which includes facilities, staff, and policies; Process, the actual care and services provided; and Outcomes, the results of care, like patient health and satisfaction. This model helps identify areas for improvement by understanding how the setup (structure) influences care delivery (process) and how that care affects patient results (outcomes). It offers a straightforward framework to assess and enhance the quality of healthcare services systematically.
