The Dinosauria
The Dinosauria is a group of reptiles that includes all dinosaurs, characterized by specific features like hips shaped for upright walking and certain skull and limb structures. They first appeared around 230 million years ago, diversified into various forms including the massive sauropods and the fierce theropods. Dinosaurs dominated land ecosystems for over 160 million years before most went extinct around 66 million years ago. Their descendants, birds, are considered modern dinosaurs. The study of Dinosauria helps us understand evolution, extinction, and the history of life on Earth.
