The Deming Wheel (Plan-Do-Check-Act)
The Deming Wheel, or PDCA cycle, is a model for continuous improvement. It involves four steps: Plan, where you identify an issue and develop a plan to address it; Do, where you implement the plan; Check, where you review and assess the results; and Act, where you take action based on what you've learned—either standardizing successful changes or adjusting for better results. This ongoing cycle helps organizations and teams steadily improve processes, quality, and performance by systematically testing and refining ideas.
