The DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)

A DAO, or Decentralized Autonomous Organization, is an organization run by rules encoded as computer programs called smart contracts on a blockchain. Instead of a traditional management structure, decisions are made collectively by members who hold tokens, enabling transparent and automated governance. It operates without a central authority, relying on consensus to execute actions such as funding projects or changing policies. This structure promotes decentralization, transparency, and member-driven decision-making, making DAOs suitable for collaborative ventures, investment pools, or community projects where trust is rooted in code and shared rules.
