The Dalai Lama
The Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism and regarded as a compassionate, wise figure who advocates for peace, kindness, and understanding. Traditionally believed to be a reincarnation of a series of spiritual teachers, he fosters dialogue between different cultures and religions. Although he holds spiritual authority, he also acts as a symbolic leader for Tibetan identity and human values globally. The current Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, has received international recognition for promoting nonviolence and human rights while living in exile from Tibet.
