The Cygnus constellation
Cygnus, the Swan, is a prominent constellation in the Northern Hemisphere, visible during summer and autumn. It’s shaped like a flying swan with outstretched wings, often called the Northern Cross because of its distinctive cross-like pattern. Located along the Milky Way, it contains bright stars like Deneb, one of the three stars forming the Summer Triangle. Cygnus also hosts numerous deep-sky objects, including star clusters and nebulae such as the North America Nebula. Astronomers use Cygnus to locate other celestial bodies, and its rich structure makes it a favorite for stargazing and astrophotography.
