The Concorde
The Concorde was a supersonic passenger jet that could fly faster than the speed of sound, reaching Mach 2.0 (about 1,350 mph). It was designed for quick transatlantic travel, mainly between London or Paris and New York, reducing flight times by more than half. Known for its distinctive delta-shaped wings and sleek, needle-like fuselage, the Concorde combined advanced aeronautics with luxury. Despite its impressive performance, high operating costs and environmental concerns led to its retirement in 2003, but it remains an iconic symbol of aviation innovation.
