The Conclave

The Conclave is a private meeting of the College of Cardinals, the senior officials of the Roman Catholic Church, convened to elect a new pope. When a pope dies or resigns, cardinals from around the world gather in the Vatican to vote on the successor. The process is highly organized and secretive, involving multiple rounds of voting until a candidate receives a two-thirds majority. The purpose of the Conclave is to select a leader who will guide the Church spiritually and administratively, ensuring continuity and stability in its worldwide mission.
