The Concept of Anxiety
The concept of anxiety refers to a natural emotional response to perceived threats or danger, prompting heightened awareness and alertness. It involves feelings of worry, nervousness, or unease about future events or situations. While some level of anxiety can be helpful in motivating action and caution, excessive or persistent anxiety may become overwhelming, affecting daily functioning. It is rooted in our mind's attempt to prepare us for challenges, but when out of proportion or chronic, it can interfere with one’s well-being. Understanding anxiety involves recognizing these normal feelings while addressing when they become disruptive.
