The Client Model (theory)
The Client Model is a psychological theory that views individuals as active participants in their own growth and change. Instead of therapists directing or fixing clients, it emphasizes collaboration, where clients' perceptions, strengths, and goals guide therapy. This approach recognizes that clients have the inner resources and capacity to understand their issues and find solutions, with the therapist acting as a supportive partner. Essentially, it sees clients as capable, competent agents working toward positive change through their own insights and actions.
