The Chemical Heritage Foundation

The Chemical Heritage Foundation (CHF) was an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and significance of chemistry and related sciences. Founded in 1982 in Philadelphia, it served as a resource for researchers and the public through its library, museum, and educational programs. The CHF aimed to highlight the contributions of chemistry to society and foster an appreciation for the chemical sciences. In 2019, it merged with the Science History Institute to enhance its mission, continuing the commitment to education and outreach in the history of science and technology.
