The Chaplet of Divine Mercy
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a Christian prayer that focuses on God's mercy and compassion. It is typically prayed using rosary beads and involves specific prayers, including the Our Father, Hail Mary, and the Apostles' Creed. The main part consists of repeating a short prayer—“For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world”—after each set of ten beads, called a decade. This devotion was popularized by Saint Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s and is particularly associated with the Feast of Divine Mercy, celebrated on the Sunday after Easter.
