The Chang Review

The Chang Review was a comprehensive assessment of the UK’s public sector efficiency, commissioned in 2005 by the government and led by Sir Peter L. Chang. Its goal was to identify ways to improve government services and reduce costs without compromising quality. The review examined how resources were used, suggested reforms, and encouraged better management practices across departments. Ultimately, it aimed to make public services more effective and financially sustainable by promoting innovation, performance measurement, and streamlined processes.
