The Celts (people)

The Celts were a group of tribal societies originating in Central Europe around 1200 BCE, known for their distinct art, language, and religious practices. They spread across much of Western and Central Europe, including the British Isles, Gaul (modern France), and parts of Eastern Europe, during the Iron Age. Renowned for their skilled craftsmanship, warriors, and storytelling traditions, the Celts had complex social structures and religious beliefs centered on nature and deities. Their influence waned with Roman expansion, but their cultural legacy persists through archaeology, art, and linguistic traces in modern Europe.
