The Cell (textbook)

"The Cell" discusses the fundamental unit of life, the cell. Cells are the smallest structures capable of performing all life functions. They contain various components, like the nucleus (which holds genetic material), cytoplasm (the fluid where organelles float), and cell membranes (which control what enters and exits). There are two main types: prokaryotic cells (simple, without a nucleus, like bacteria) and eukaryotic cells (more complex, with a nucleus, found in plants, animals, fungi). Understanding cells helps explain how living organisms grow, reproduce, and maintain their functions.
