The Cannon-Bard Theory

The Cannon-Bard Theory suggests that when you experience an emotion, your brain processes the situation and triggers both the emotional feeling and physical reactions (like trembling or a racing heart) simultaneously, independently of each other. In other words, the emotion and bodily response happen at the same time, not one causing the other. For example, when you see a snake, your brain quickly interprets the danger, making you feel fear and causing your body to prepare for a possible escape, all happening together rather than one leading to the other.
