The Bull of Heaven

The Bull of Heaven is a myth from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, notably in the Epic of Gilgamesh. It was a divine creature sent by the goddess Ishtar to punish Gilgamesh after he insulted her. The enormous, fiery-breathing bull caused widespread destruction in the city of Uruk. Gilgamesh and his friend Enkidu ultimately killed the beast, which led to further divine repercussions.
