the Bombing of the Oklahoma City
The Oklahoma City bombing was a domestic terrorist attack on April 19, 1995, when Timothy McVeigh and co-conspirators detonated a truck bomb outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The explosion destroyed much of the building, killing 168 people, including children, and injuring hundreds. Motivated by anti-government sentiments, the attack was intended as a protest against federal authority. The incident remains one of the deadliest acts of domestic terrorism in U.S. history, leading to widespread changes in security and anti-terror measures.
