The Blokade
A blockage, or "blokade," occurs when something prevents the normal flow of a substance, such as blood, air, or other fluids, through a vessel or passage in the body. This can result from a buildup of plaque, a blood clot, swelling, or foreign objects. Blockages can impair the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to tissues or hinder vital functions, potentially leading to health issues like heart attacks, strokes, or respiratory problems. Treatment depends on the location and cause but may include medications, surgery, or other interventions to restore normal flow.
