The Black Mamba
The black mamba is one of the most venomous snakes in the world, native to parts of Africa. Despite its name, it's not black but usually grey or olive-colored, with a long, slender body that can reach up to 14 feet. It’s known for its speed and agility, capable of striking multiple times in quick succession. Its venom contains neurotoxins that can cause paralysis or death if untreated. Fortunately, it generally avoids humans. Anti-venom is effective if administered promptly. The black mamba is both feared and respected for its potent venom and rapid strikes.
