The Black Economic Empowerment Commission

The Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) Commission is a South African government body established to promote economic inclusion of historically disadvantaged Black individuals. Its goal is to encourage companies and industries to provide more opportunities for Black people through initiatives like ownership, management roles, skills development, and enterprise development. By doing so, it aims to redress past inequalities, foster economic growth, and create a more equitable society. The commission develops policies, monitors progress, and supports initiatives that advance Black participation in the economy, helping to build a more diverse and inclusive economic landscape in South Africa.
