The Biosphere 2 Project
The Biosphere 2 Project was a large-scale scientific experiment in Arizona designed to study Earth's ecological systems. It involved creating a self-sustaining man-made environment that included different biomes such as rainforest, desert, and ocean. Scientists aimed to understand how these ecosystems interact, how humans can live sustainably within them, and how Earth's biosphere functions. The project also provided insights into climate change, resource management, and the potential for future space colonization. Conducted from 1991 to 1994, Biosphere 2 offered valuable data on ecological dynamics and sustainability challenges.
