The Biochar Project
The Biochar Project focuses on creating a sustainable way to improve soil health and combat climate change by producing biochar—a form of charcoal made from organic waste through a controlled process called pyrolysis. This process captures carbon that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere, helping reduce greenhouse gases. When added to soil, biochar enhances fertility, retains water, and promotes healthy plant growth. The project aims to use agricultural and forestry waste responsibly, turning it into a valuable tool for environmental management, agricultural productivity, and carbon sequestration, fostering a more sustainable and resilient ecosystem.
