The Berlo's SMCR Model
The Berlo's SMCR Model is a way to understand communication by breaking it down into four parts: Sender, Message, Channel, and Receiver. The Sender is the person or entity sharing information, and they must encode their message clearly. The Message is the information being shared, which travels through a communication channel like speaking, writing, or digital media. The Receiver is the person or group interpreting the message, who must decode it accurately. Effective communication happens when the message is well-crafted, sent through an appropriate channel, and correctly understood by the Receiver.
