the Bering Land Bridge
The Bering Land Bridge was a land connection between Asia and North America that existed during the last Ice Age, approximately 20,000 to 15,000 years ago. When sea levels were lower due to glacial ice, a region known as Beringia emerged, allowing humans and animals to migrate between the continents. This bridge is significant in understanding the settlement of the Americas, as it is believed to be the route through which early human populations entered the continent. Today, the area where the bridge once existed is now submerged under the Bering Strait.
