The Bell-LaPadula Model

The Bell-LaPadula Model is a security framework designed to protect sensitive information in computer systems, primarily used by government and military organizations. It emphasizes two key rules: "no read up" and "no write down." This means that individuals can only access information at or below their security clearance level, preventing them from viewing more sensitive data. Likewise, they cannot share information at their level with those who have lower clearance, preventing accidental leaks. Essentially, the model ensures that classified information remains secure and is only accessible to authorized personnel.
