The Battery

A battery is a device that stores electrical energy and releases it to power electronic devices. It consists of one or more electrochemical cells, each with a positive terminal (cathode), a negative terminal (anode), and an electrolyte that allows for chemical reactions. These reactions generate a flow of electrons, creating an electric current that can do work, like running a phone or car. When the battery is used, the chemical reactions gradually decrease, and the battery needs recharging or replacing to restore its energy. Essentially, it’s a portable source of stored power converting chemical energy into usable electricity.
