The Baird method of television transmission
The Baird method of television transmission, developed by John Logie Baird, used early mechanical systems to capture and display images. It worked by scanning a scene with a rotating sphere or disc with tiny holes or lenses to break the image into lines (like a slideshow), converting these into electrical signals. These signals were then transmitted over a wire or radio and used to control a similar device at the receiver, which recreated the image on a screen. This method was an early step in television technology, heavily relying on mechanical parts before electronic systems became dominant.
