
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a political and economic organization of ten Southeast Asian countries, formed in 1967. Its main goals are to promote regional stability, economic growth, and cultural cooperation among its members, which include Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. ASEAN fosters collaboration on trade, security, and environmental issues, helping its members address common challenges. By working together, ASEAN aims to improve quality of life and create a more integrated and prosperous Southeast Asia.
