The Assessment Triangle
The Assessment Triangle is a framework used to evaluate a person’s understanding or knowledge. It involves three key parts: 1) Behavior, which looks at what the person says or does; 2) Cognitive Complexity, which assesses how well they understand the underlying concepts; and 3) Ideology, which considers their beliefs or values that influence their responses. By examining these three areas together, educators or assessors can gain a comprehensive view of a person's abilities, strengths, and areas needing support, helping them make informed decisions about learning or development needs.
