The Art of Bronze Casting
The art of bronze casting involves creating detailed sculptures by pouring molten bronze into a mold. Artists first craft a model, often in clay or wax, which is then used to make a mold. In the lost-wax process, the wax model is covered with a heat-resistant material, then melted away to leave a hollow, detailed cavity. Molten bronze is poured into this cavity, filling it and capturing intricate details. Once cooled, the mold is removed, and the bronze sculpture is polished and finished, resulting in durable, expressive artworks that blend craftsmanship and artistic vision.
