The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders
The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders was a historic Scottish infantry regiment of the British Army, formed in 1881 through the merging of two older units. Known for their distinctive Highland dress and strong Scottish heritage, they served in many key military campaigns worldwide, including both World Wars. The regiment was recognized for its resilience and professionalism. In 2006, it was amalgamated into the Royal Regiment of Scotland, but its traditions and history continue to be honored within the larger modern unit.
