The Apocrypha

The Apocrypha refers to a collection of ancient writings associated with the Bible but not included in the standard Protestant canon. These texts, often found in Catholic and Orthodox Bibles, include historical, wisdom, and additional biblical stories written between the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. They offer valuable historical and theological insights but are regarded differently across Christian traditions regarding their divine inspiration and authority. While they are respected as religious literature, Protestants typically do not consider the Apocrypha to be scripture.
