Thatchernomics

"Thatcherism" refers to the economic policies and political philosophy associated with Margaret Thatcher, the UK Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990. It emphasized free-market principles, reducing government intervention, privatizing state industries, and encouraging individual enterprise. The goal was to boost economic growth, increase efficiency, and control inflation. These policies aimed to shift the economy from a heavily regulated, welfare-oriented system towards a more market-driven approach, believing that greater personal and corporate responsibility would lead to a stronger, more competitive Britain.
