THAAD System

The THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) system is an advanced missile defense technology designed to intercept and destroy short- and medium-range ballistic missiles during their final flight phase. It uses radar to detect incoming threats, tracks their trajectory, and launches interceptor missiles to destroy them mid-air before they reach their target. THAAD is mobile, quickly deployable, and provides protection for military bases, cities, and strategic sites against missile attacks, enhancing national security by intercepting threats before they can cause damage.
