Th2 Cell

Th2 cells are a type of immune cell that helps protect the body against parasites like worms and also plays a key role in allergic responses. They coordinate the immune system by releasing signals (cytokines) that activate other immune cells, such as those that produce antibodies or attack parasites. Th2 cells are part of a balanced immune response, ensuring that the body responds effectively to certain threats without overreacting. However, when they become overly active, they can contribute to allergies and asthma, making some immune responses problematic rather than protective.
