Th1 and Th2 responses

Th1 and Th2 are types of immune responses that help defend your body against different threats. Th1 responses activate cells that target and destroy bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens inside cells, mainly using specialized immune cells. Th2 responses, on the other hand, promote the production of antibodies that fight off parasites and help clear allergens. Both responses are important but need to be balanced; an overactive Th1 might cause inflammation, while an overactive Th2 can lead to allergies. Your immune system shifts between these responses depending on the type of threat it encounters.
