TFIIB

TFIIB is a protein that plays an essential role in gene expression, specifically in helping initiate the process by which cells read genes to produce proteins. It functions as a bridge between the DNA sequence and the enzyme called RNA polymerase II, which synthesizes RNA from the genetic code. TFIIB helps position RNA polymerase correctly at the start of a gene, ensuring accurate transcription.
