Text Linguistics

Text linguistics is the study of how pieces of written or spoken language (texts) are organized and communicate meaning effectively. It examines how different elements—such as structure, coherence, and style—work together to produce understandable and impactful messages. This field looks beyond individual sentences to consider how larger segments of communication function, whether in literature, conversation, or media. Essentially, it analyzes the ways language is used in context to convey ideas clearly, influence the audience, and achieve specific communicative goals.
