Texas Military Forces

The Texas Military Forces (TXMF) are a state-controlled military organization that includes the Texas Army National Guard, Texas Air National Guard, and Texas State Guard. They serve both state and federal roles—supporting civil authorities during emergencies like natural disasters, and providing trained military personnel for national defense when federal activated. The TXMF operates under state authority unless federalized, in which case they serve the U.S. military. Their mission is to protect and serve Texans, support civil agencies, and assist with homeland security, disaster response, and community safety.
