Testicular Spermatogenesis

Testicular spermatogenesis is the biological process through which the testes produce sperm cells. It begins with specialized cells called spermatogonia that, through a series of developmental stages, divide and mature within the seminiferous tubules of the testes. This process involves cell division (meiosis) to create haploid sperm, including a period of growth and transformation into fully developed sperm cells capable of fertilization. Spermatogenesis is regulated by hormones such as testosterone and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). It is a continuous process in males from puberty throughout life, ensuring the production of healthy sperm for reproduction.
