Test reliability and validity

Test reliability refers to the consistency of a test's results over time or across different situations. If a test is reliable, it will produce similar results under consistent conditions. Validity, on the other hand, measures whether the test accurately assesses what it is intended to measure. A valid test provides meaningful and relevant results, truly reflecting the concept or skill being evaluated. In essence, reliability is about consistency, and validity is about accuracy. A good test should be both reliable (consistent results) and valid (truly measuring what it claims to).
