TERF

TERF stands for “Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist.” It describes individuals within some feminist circles who advocate for women's rights but do not recognize or support the rights of transgender women to be included as women. They often oppose policies or practices that allow transgender women to access women’s spaces, such as bathrooms or sports teams, arguing that gender identity should not override biological sex. The term is sometimes used critically to describe this exclusionary stance, highlighting disagreements about gender, gender identity, and what it means to be a woman.
