Temporary Total Disability (TTD)
Temporary Total Disability (TTD) is a workers’ compensation benefit provided to employees who suffer a work-related injury or illness that temporarily prevents them from performing any job duties. It offers income replacement during their recovery period, typically calculated as a percentage of their pre-injury wages. TTD continues until the worker heals enough to resume work or their condition reaches maximum medical improvement, at which point the benefit may end or transition to other coverage. Essentially, it helps support injured workers financially while they recover from their temporary disabilities.
